I was going to sell it in-house. My parents need a new comp because their old PII isnt cutting it anymore. They dont want to venture out into linux territory though. :(

I was thinking of mandriva but i heard it was a resouce hog. Its a 2.1ghz celeron with 1gb of valueram. Would that be sufficent to support it?

I searched Google, and i found a page stating that you need a 500Mhz P3, 256MB RAM, 1GB HD, and 32-bit graphics to make it run smoothly.

Your celeron would be a rocket on it. Bill Gates would even be suprised.

Thats good too hear. Part of the reason i havent sold it already is that ive been putting off buying a new hdd for it. My old 40gb hdd has a bad sector and is unable to start windows due to an error. Its quite annoying...

You should get XP. Although 98SE is not bad at all..

you forgot sarcasm tags.

Anyway I use XP home, XP Pro, Win98se and DOS 6.22, I also have a copy of Linux which loads purely off a CD.

ONe of my computers triple boots but the others just have 1 OS.
