People who buy prebuilt machines really don't care. They buy whatever meets their stupid criteria. They do the same thing with cars. Either they have an irrational loyalty to a brand or model *cough* mustangs *cough*, or they get what looks cool. Often they may even get the cheapest.

exactly. the kind of people that buy a prebuilt have never seen the inside of a computer. they could care less if they had a core i7 975 or a celeron single core under the hood. i've noticed in todays market people tend to go to what ever the cheapest product is.

Which was usually the Pentium 4 back in the day, because of the way Intel shut out AMD from the OEM market.
