Wait, so that doesn't apply to personal computers? Of course you can still go on the site, but only the information whatnot can happen to the dealer computers?

That's all you really need to say, it's Glenn Beck and Fox News.

Haha, I completely agree with you. But further discussion will inevitably lead to a discussion about politics which is not allowed on these forums.

I frequently read the legal information on websites and I have never found such language.
If I were an American I would want it both ways. It might seem like too much to ask but I would like transparency AND I would like not to have my data stolen by the government.

The site is not for us to access, and load up some government sites and read their legal terms. Its not saying theyre going to steal your data, its saying that the computer system used by the dealer is being monitored, including all data on it.

Keyword dealer, not home computer.

matter fact, ill list you some sites:

Correct, like i said already the dealer version of the site and the consumer level version are two different things.

Anyone who knows anything about government computers knows that they are always monitored with a vpn client, because they have to access government servers. They are also behind special firewalls....It makes sense that the system would be monitored, i dont think they want a viruses to get loaded up on the system.

A personal home computer cant even get through the firewall, how can they monitor it???

Use common sense here guys.

In my opinion you simply cannot trust government. The other three websites are all military/agency webistes, not only is this not representitive of most sites, it is not representitive of cars.gov. Ricanflow please stop using the excuse that this site is not meant for "consumers" if I was a dealer then those terms would apply to me and IMO they are far too intrusive whether you are a consumer or a dealer.

cars.gov is a government website, the three websites ive linked are government as well.

The last one is not military, its the DHS web email portal.

Yes they would apply as a dealer, because its a federal program for dealers to get reimbursed $4500. They dont have to use it, they can decline the program and not agree to the terms.

THIS is hot
