WinXP browser redirecting requests

My internet Explorer is acting as if it has it's own mind.

For instance I type in a valid email address that I've be visiting for months and now it's not the site. It usually goes to some type of pop up scam work telling me I have mailware etc..........

I also have the problem when I try to visit avg.com at that point it says the server connection was lost.

Any suggestions..........................

You may want to visit the virus/spyware subforum of this site, you will get far more help there than anywhere else on this site.

This is not the place for this, but since your post is on the top of the forum anyway. Try Firefox. Google it. Use it.

If its still giving you issues in Firefox such as the connection lost error you can (or others) will have a better idea of whats going on. (Ie, if its just at the IE level or further.)
