unreadable DVD's

my Game of Thrones season 1 DVD's, all 5, won't read in my 5 disk panasonic player-just tries to read, won't let me do anything with the remote-have to manually turn off the machine to eject the DVD-my iMac tries to read it, then ejects it with no message-the underside of all 5 are way, like oil on water-other older DVD's play fine, as does season 4-haven't had the heart to check seasons 2 and 3-kind of a pricey thing-don't have a clue as to what is happening-help!

What do you mean "the underside of all 5 are way, like oil on water" ? I don't know what you mean by that.

Are the DVD's the correct region for your player?

so sorry-it was a BluRay set-no wonder it wouldn't work--now if only my computer would quit freezing up on me!! thanks for your relpy!!
