Ready to Learn!

Hey guys,
I've had my own computer ever since 2006 but all I've done is play games on it or surf the web. I'm going to start learning a bit more about computers as someday i would like to make a career sitting in front of a computer screen. I'm thinking about learning a programming language, although the first time i tried it got hard and then i got bored and gave up. I'm sure i have ADD.... anyway. I've been reading these forums a lot and learnt so much already.
Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the information here.

I think probably 99% of people who try do exactly that, download eclipse and try writing a hello world app in java, if you get stuck make a thread in the programming section.
