Hi, My name is Keith. Im from Chicago. I just retired from the army. I enlisted young and retired young. Im seeking a new career path in "IT". I have no experience but it has always been an interest of mine. Im not sure where to start of if its the right thing for me. I think I can handle the college requirements of earning a degree but Im concerned about the experience aspects of the field at the age of 38. Every employer seem to be hiring folks with experience. Im not sure if the introduction is the appropriate thread but I badly need some advice Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums Keith. It's never too late to begin your studies. I know several people in my class alone that are much older than you (I'm studying Computer Science). If you put in the effort you will get through grand. Employers are looking for enthusiasm for the job not just people with experience.
