Talking New laptop; which to buy? (& hello)!

Hello !
I'm new to this, but joined for a little advice!

I'm starting University in a few weeks, and I want to buy a new laptop.
I also play a few games every now and then, and I'm interested in playing GW2 (but it's not a big problem if it won't run smoothly on the laptop)...
I also watch films/programmes on websites such as Netflix.

I don't have the knowledge yet to give sound advice; however, I would like to welcome you to the forum. What University will you be attending and what will you be studying?

Hello,

I buy computers, servers and other technology devices for my work, and due to the bad experience that I have with Dell laptops, for personal and work I will not recommend it. We've sent all our Dell laptops for repair and I own one (which I inherited) personally and having so much issues with the hardware. I would recommend either HP, Lenovo or Sony with Intel i5 or higher processor. However, Dell Servers are very reliable.

and...Welcome!

There are so many. Choose any suits your pocket. I'm using apple. It's really nice.

There are other brands as well. Like Lenovo, Samsung, Dell, ASUS etc. But don't go with HP.
