Hey there guys and gals. New to PC gaming. Moved up from the PS2 and needed a new desktop anyway. Here is what i got. Some of the bigger games dont run very well unless i turn down the graphics. I know more than just the basics on computers but some help would be great on tweaks and upgrades to make things faster. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. With that setup I would say that the GPU is the biggest problem for gaming. For a more detailed discussion and suggestions, go to the correct subforum and make a thread in there as this is really just for intros.

Kmote is correct, you could use a new GPU (Graphic Card)

Post up a thread in one of the Hardware forums (High Performance) and give us the make and model of your rig (if it is a pre-built), along with your budget, and we'll see what we can come up with that will put your machine into overdrive. ;)
