I've been into computer technologies for quite some time, especially anything to do with Apple products. I'm currently very interested in SSD tech, and am looking to make my first purchase soon. Hopefully I'll have some great discussions in this new community. Cheers!

Really? Not something I've heard of.

Under Snow Leopard TRIM wasn't supported if your SSD wasn't le Apple variety. I.e. if you bought a 3rd party SSD and whacked it in there, you'd have to hack it to support TRIM. Pretty sure they fixed it in Lion, haven't tested that out myself yet. Should do that today...
