Default Hi, there. I'm new. I've been lurking/learning here for a little bit...

Hey, there!

So...

I don't know what to say, but HI!!

I've been reading, and hiding a little bit. But now I'm ready to talk!

But will _not_ be using the smily/smilie faces! And you won't get me to change my mind.

I'd love it if you could use (at least semi-) proper grammar and spelling when you write to me, but I'll take what I can get! *smile*

Soooo....

Can you welcome me? *laugh*

Welcome to the forums. I don't think you will be able persuade some people to use proper spelling and grammar, this is the Internet after all.

Welcome!

I don't really see the problem with smilies :P They help add emotional context to a sentence (for example I reduced the formality of my previous sentence by using the : P smiley) in a way that would either be challenging or too long if put into words
