Talking Help using Audacity 1.3.13 to Digitally Construct Music

I just joined this forum and I am hoping that someone will be able to help me. I downloaded Audacity 1.3.13 and I have been playing with it. I want to convert Mono Tracks to Stereo. It is being done and I would like to learn how to do so. I have dragged my mono CD track that was "ripped" to Wav form. I tried moving the tracks around seperately and clicking on the the different options. I have not been successful creating Stereo!. What is the tick? Exactly how is it done? It is not addressed in "The Book Of Audacity." Any help is greatly appreciated! EDB

Audacity probably can't do it without a VST extension or something similiar.
