My latest adventure is the TopJoy Falcon laptop, and trying to dual boot Linux distros beside Windows.

I am sad that my latest phone can't be rooted (and then flashed or updated as I please), and thinking of changing that back next phone.

Other projects in the works, half finished, or badly started.

Welcome, William. Sorry that I haven't been very vigilant with the intros; work has been kicking my butt of late.

Good luck on a new phone that is readily rootable/flashable. I used to be big into all that but pretty much gave it up once I moved off of the Nexus 6. Nowadays so long as I can uninstall most of the bloat I am good to go as I always use a launcher and customize almost everything anyway.

I really loved some apps that needed root, such as Titanium Backup, and apps that treated calls before dialer had them.
And I liked additional options, such as turning off amber alerts and presidential alerts.
