Wow. I've been posting and I haven't introduced myself. How horrificly rude, hm!?!?!?!
I've been an IT guy (who's hoping to stay one; in today's market who knows?) for some 7-8 years now. I worked up from support (help desk) to programmer to systems analyst to whatever I am now. Some days I'm really not sure. I've coded in vb6, C#, Java and worked with the usual database programs (SQL, Oracle). I've watched my IT department go from being stuffed with in-house programmers to being stuffed with contractors. The project managers and business people seem to be the only ones that stick around. Programmers who stick around get changed into project managers. Bizarre, since many of us were hired for our coding skills. BOING! Oh well, the pay is good and the company is great, so I shouldn't complain.
Lastly, I run a website called Get Milked . Keeps me on the sane side of the continuum.
