Hello there, don't really know where to begin so I'll start with what led me to this awesome site. I've been a computer gamer since I can remember, starting with an old tandy playing games like Space Quest and Goldrush. Over the years I've always been behind most others with computer tech because I couldn't afford to upgrade as a kid in school. But as of 2009 I built my first pc which wasn't top of the line, but was enough to play World of Warcraft with ease so it was plenty good enough for me.

Recently I've been thinking of upgrading again or atleast adding single upgrades at a time to my current setup. I've come seeking advice and knowledge to build a lasting pc that will suffice my gaming needs.

My current setup:
ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
LITE-ON 24X DVD Writer Black SATA Model iHAS424-98 LightScribe Support
HP 2009m 20" HP 16:9 Wide HD Ready LCD Flat Panel Monitor
EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

RAIDMAX SMILODON Extreme Black ATX-612WEBP 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case With 500W Power Supply
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Processor ADX250OCGQBOX
Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT25664BA1339

Not a great setup, but it was a start, with no experience in the pc building field.
