Cool Hello :]

Hey everybody out there!
My name is CrazyBoy494 and i am crazy \o/
Heard about this community from some people over internet so i thought to give it a try.
I am thinking to upgrade my PC but it is the first time for me and i don't know what parts will it support or which one would be perfect for it.
My current specs are :
Processor : Intel Pentium Dual Core E2220 @2.40GHz
RAM : 2.00GB
System Type : 32-Bit
Display Adapter : Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family
I'm a gamer and this PC has never let me play a game without lag or death spikes.
What do you guys recommend?
I've seen some parts that are cheap and awesome but i don't know whether they're compatible or not.

Could you guys give me an advice?
Also, not sure but can you change the motherboard too? Does that change the system type?

Default Re: Hello :]

Welcome to the forums!
I recommend that you create a new thread in the System Upgrades section for the quickest help.

From what I can tell right now, it would be cheaper to build a new computer -- replacing the motherboard would essentially be doing just that. You'd have to buy new RAM and a new processor, and if you replace the video card, you're more than likely going to need a new power supply as well.

EDIT:
Didn't see your links there earlier. That motherboard is an AM3+ AMD motherboard, meaning you'll need an AMD processor for it to work. That processor isn't compatible.

As for the RAM.... it is compatible with that motherboard. Just the processor and motherboard aren't compatible. You'll have to look for an LGA 1155 motherboard, like this (used for reference, I'm in the US):
