Default Hello!

Recently got my associates degree in Cybersecurity and passed the CCNA and Security+ but I can't find a job! Just came to a hard realization that all that means nothing without experience so I applied at Geek Squad. Haven't heard from them yet but I'm optimistic.

I've always learned a lot from forums so I figured I'd join this forum to expand my knowledge in IT.

Welcome to the forums.

It's still hard luck on the job front for a lot of people.

Thanks for the welcome. It's been really frustrating trying to land even a help desk job. I just applied at staples today.

Welcome to TF!

Plenty of competition these days. You have to find ways to set yourself apart from them and really stand out to have a good chance. Best of luck

I messed up. I should have gotten an A+ certificate first. CCNA and Security+ is worthless for entry-level jobs. I was even getting ready to take the CISSP but after scouring the job market I realized it would be impossible to meet the infosec experience requirement in the allotted time frame. I didn't want to waste $500.
