Default Hello!

I'm new to this forum. Started using public computers/internet about year and half ago, so I guess still beginner level. Currently looking into getting my first home computer, and using the book 'How To Buy A Computer For Dummies' (Dan Gookin) as general guide. I've lots of questions the various other books I'm reading either don't answer or skim over. At least some will likely be dum questions....all I can say is I always do searches prior to posting, but consider that no guarantee against such questions!
