Default Greetings from Seattle

Hello everyone my name's Raistlin, I've just entered a 13wk IT internship 2wks ago,
I've just joined this forum so I can become a part of a community of people who know a lot about computers.

I don't know much at this moment, but I'm hoping to learn a lot in terms of learning about everything that makes a computer work, how to fix it, take apart and put things back together, how to upgrade things, how to maintain my electronics better and how to use them to empower my life.

I don't plan to make a career out of computers, but it's still very important that I learn as much as I can so that I can make actual use of everything I do with w/e electronic I got.

If anyone can refer me to an excellent OS, beats/video editing, language learning programs that'd be great.
If anyone can help me with learning new study methods that'd also be great.
I'm here to learn so I'd be happy to take whatever I can learn as long as it can improve my skills.

I really need some recommendations on antivirus and spyware programs.
