OnTheLimit here... a long time techie from the days of early digital computers and the very first minicomputers which took up as much room as a small mainframe!
Have been retired for over 13 years but have kept myself fairly up to date... skills range from Mnemonic Assembler through to national project management and WAN/systems deployment. I currently maintain a modest home LAN with a few servers and perhaps 20 or so PCs and laptops... but I'm not sure why I bother! Old habits die hard...
Outside of DP/IT I have an extensive racing background on both 2 and 4 wheels - and am always willing to do a bit of bench racing with fellow enthusiasts. "The older I get, the faster I was!"
I look forward to exchanging obscure bits of info which one never knew one needed until that dreaded day when the smelly stuff hits the fan.
Please be patient with me if I make any missteps while familiarizing myself with your site.
