Hi,

How do I remove Windows Messenger successfully. I have tried doing it via Control Panel - Add Remove Program - Windows Components, I also removed MSN explorer in this way. It appeared to remove successfully, however whenever I launch Outlook it magically appears again.

I have MSN messenger installed and would like to keep it installed.

Thanks in Advance

I had read, (not sure if required), but MSN Messenger is needed/opened when you open Outlook Express...
This is running XP Pro

This is some crap Microsoft did??

I don't run MS Messenger, but do notice if opens and closes as I use outlook.

LobosBlanco, are you saying you can uninstall "for good" MSN messenger and outlook express will still work?

thanks

Thanks. Where should this question go? Also is Larry right, can I uninstall Windows messenger and still use Outlook.

(I will be using MSN messenger anyway).

Thanks

i dont have either

msn messenger

or windows messenger

i don't use it often but outlook express 6.0 still works fine for me without messeging programs

just to make sure the unstalls go alright make sure all browser are closed and any other programs are closed like outlook express

this particular part of the forum is for if you already have a tip or trick you want to share operating systems and software would have been better for to post questions

oh heres the difference between the three
