Windows 7 System Recovery Disc
A Windows 7 System Recovery Disc is a bootable disc that contains tools to recovery and fix problems that have been encountered in the Windows 7 operating system. It can for instance be used to restore a System Restore point, fix Windows startup problems, completely restore Windows 7 from a PC backup, run computer memory diagnostics or open a command prompt. Not all Windows 7 installations come with the option to create a Windows 7 System Recovery Disc.
The easiest way to find out if a Windows 7 edition supports creating a recovery disc is by pressing [Windows R], entering [recdisc.exe] in the form and hitting the [return] key. This will open the Create a system repair disc window prompting to enter a blank disc into the computer's CD or DVD drive.
