If you are from the United States and have been visiting another country lately or if you are from another country and want to access google.com you might have noticed that you are automatically getting redirected to a country code domain of Google. Users from France for instance are redirected to Google.fr automatically.
There are two easy ways to fix that, to select Google.com - or any other Google domain - as your main Google domain. If you are currently redirected to a Google country domain you can click on the “Go to Google.com” link below the search mask. The link is translated in the countries language. When you click that link you are redirected to Google.com and a cookie is set that will load Google.com for as long as the cookie is set.
The second possibility is to bookmark the Google Web HP website which gives users access to Google.com without redirecting them to their country domain. Please note that setting the language to English in the preferences does not mean that you are automatically taken to Google.com from then on.
