Hello all,

I was just wondering if there was a way to trick windows into thinking that regular files were system fiels, so windows would hide them by default?

Not making files hidden, but making them even more hidden ???

Thanks for any answers;

You might be able to rename the extension to .sys .

But, I don't see why you couldn't just make them hidden through properties or command prompt.

Also theres no such thing as "More" Hidden. Either a file is hidden or its not. You can make all files even system ones unhidden through file otpions in control panel. Or for any other file you can use command prompt commands to hide or un hide them. Or the easiest method, use the properties interface.

I don't think you got it there

I mean that hiding files that aren't system files by adding an attribute to trick windows into thinking they were system files, without changin the extension.

Loke, the "boot.ini" file located on the root drive of a PC running windows is a system file, and doesn't show up when "show hidden files and folders" is on, only when "show system files and folders" is on

I want specified files to only show up when "show system files and folders"+
