After downloading Spybot, and after getting all the latest updates for it, but before running the program....click on Mode (upper left corner) and choose Advanced.
There will appear several menus on the left side. Click on Settings and from there click on each left side menu, starting from the bottom and moving up. In the *Ignore Products*, on the right hand side, go thru each tab, scroll the listings and remove each check mark. This will make Spybot note and fix each instance of items found. On a new install/setup of Spybot, if done before ever scanning with the program, what is unchecked (for the most part) are items that pertain to Spybot (their cookies, etc).
If this change to advanced is done after using several times, AND if you have a problem you are unable to find/remove, by unchecking the checked items will allow Spybot to *see* and then fix the problem areas.
