Software Updates Week 29
What a busy week. It's almost the opposite of last week which was rather uneventful. Dozens of excellent software programs have been updated in this week and I really do not know where to start.
It took a long time to compile the list and I'm sure I probably forgot half of the applications that have been updated. To mention some remarkable ones: µTorrent, Locate32, Opera and Notepad++ have all been updated in this week.
The application of the week award goes to Teracopy this time, it's a great tool that can speed up file transfers in Windows. As always, if you know of an update that is not in the list let me know.

Belarc Advisor 7.2.24.7 - builds a profile of installed software and hardware.
Blender 2.47 RC1 - Blender is the free open source 3D content creation suite.
Control Running Programs 2.0 Build 942 Beta 2 - controls all running programs in Windows.
DVDFab HD Decrypter 5.0.8.0 Beta - copies DVDs to the hard drive and removes protections in the process.
eMule 0.49b - A very popular P2P client.
FileZilla 3.1.1 RC1 - An Open Source ftp client.
Floola 3.3 - Can manage iPods without iTunes.
foobar2000 0.9.5.5 - An audio player that is highly customizable.
Foxit Reader 2.3 Build 3201 - An excellent Adobe Reader replacement.
JavaRa 1.11 - Detects if the latest JRE (Java Runtime Environment) is installed on the system. Can delete old ones and provides a download link for the newest.
K-Lite Codec Pack Full 4.1.3 Beta - A codec package that installs many codecs.
Locate 3.1.8.8030 RC2 - probably the fastest search application.
Notepad++ 5.0.3 - Excellent Notepad replacement.
NVIDIA BIOS Editor 4.4 - Bios tweaker for all NVIDIA video cards.
Opera 9.52 Build 10100 Beta - New beta of the upcoming Opera 9.52 browser.
Orbit Downloader 2.7.3 - Great download manager with lots of interesting features.
Shup 0.26 - Screenshot application with online image host support.
SpeedFan 4.35 Beta 24 - Control Fans and Temperatures on a Computer System.
Spyware Terminator 2.3.0.487 - excellent anti-spyware software program.
SUMo 2.2.1.53 - SUMo scans the system for out of date software and provides download links for the discovered.
System Explorer 1.5 RC 1 - Provides detailed information about the computer system.
TeraCopy 2.0 Beta 4 - Replaces and speeds up the default Windows Copy / Move process.
Tor 0.2.1.4 Alpha - The Onion Router is helping users improve the anonymity and security on the Internet.
UltraVNC 1.0.4 RC17 - UltraVNC is an enhanced VNC distribution
VirtualBox 1.6.4 - Virtualizer for Windows.
vLite 1.2 RC - Allows you to create your own Windows Vista installation CD by removing unwanted programs and adding new ones.
