1. For better user management, click on the start menu, click run and type in 'control userpasswords2'.
2. This is a word processing tip. If your text is replacing itself, instead of overwriting, then press the 'Insert' button on your keyboard.
3. To adjust the ol' Swap file, go to My Computer, click Properties, and find the Advanced tab. There, click the Settings button under performance. Use the Advanced tab and click change under Virtural Memory. Type in the Initial Memory and Maximum memory you want to reserve as a Swap File. These numbers should be 2.5X your System RAM.
4. The Control key is very essential part of your keyboard. CTRL-C to copy, CTRL-V to paste, and CTRL-X to cut.
5. Want to see what's running on your computer, go to the start menu, click run and type in 'services.msc'. Now you can see all those XP services that are running in the background.
6. Got your own firewall and want to disable XP's Firewall, go to the Start Menu, under your connections, right click on your connection and click properties. Now find the advanced tab and clear the checkbox for the ICF (Internet Connection Firewall). Now apply and click OK to accept the changes. You may have to be disconnected from the Internet to disable this completely.
