Grab and Drag is a Firefox add-on that provides several additional ways of scrolling pages on websites. The usual way of scrolling websites is by using the scrollbar or keyboard (Page-up, down, arrow keys, space) or mouse (mouse-wheel, buttons) to scroll pages. One of the methods that is added by the Firefox extension may be known from Adobe Acrobat. Users can simply click the mouse button in Adobe Acrobat to scroll the page up or down and that same functionality was implemented in this extension.
Another function is the so called Flick-style scrolling which makes it possible to scroll in all four directions by quickly flicking the mouse / pen in a direction which is especially useful for pen based computers.
Grabbing and Dragging can be activated by hotkeys or mouse commands to avoid activation in inappropriate situations. The add-on is highly configurable including hotkeys and a selection of cursors for the grab and drag function.
Some users will like the Momentum feature which continues scrolling the page based on the speed of the drag by the user.
Grab and Drag works perfectly fine with touchscreen monitors as you can see in the above video.
