F-Secure Exploit Shield Protects Against 0-Day Web Browser Exploits

One of the major security threats that computer users face in the last years are web browser exploits. These exploits use 0-day vulnerabilities to infect web browsers that have not been patched to protect against the vulnerability. It does not always have to be the user's fault if a web browser has not been patched yet. It can take hours or even days before browser developers are able to release a patch that is protecting the web browsers leaving the browsers vulnerable to attacks in the time between.
Some plugins and add-ons help against these types of exploits and attacks. Notable is for instance the NoScript add-on for the Firefox web browser which disables script unless the user has explicitly given permission. The problem with these exploits on the other hand is that they might appear on trusted websites in the form of manipulated banner advertisement.
