psp upgrade help

I was just curious if there is any way i could update my firmware from 2.0 to 7.0, not the very latest 8.2. the only update sony offers is 8.2 and thats it. Any help or links would be appreciated.

well the just release v 3.01 but that crafty Noobz cracked the kernal code for it so HOMEBREW GALORE!!!

just look up the update eboot file from google and ull find emulation instructions linked with the required firmware file, just take the eboot file thats whatever update u want and put it in the PSP>Games folder on the memory stick. then when u go on ur psp to the game part of the memory card it should say 2.xx (watever firmware version u put there) update. then i think u just click that
