ps2 modding

hi out there, first time posting on a forum so please bear with me.
I am fitting a ps2 to my car and have a couple of ?????.

1. does anybody sell extension ribbon cables for the insides of ps2, i wanted to extend the various parts like power/reset button, disc drive and controller ports to fit them to varios places in the dash.
if there is no extension available has anyone tried to solder and extend the factory cables inside.

2. i have two 7.5" headrest screens but they are ntsc, is it possible to convert ps2 output from pal to ntsc, i get an image but there is a ghost image above it?

that sounds a little to much car related imo. Also consol related apposed to game related

i really need some extension cables as well..

i tried to extend the original ones and it is nearly impossible (it is with my soldering skills anyway)

they are just too small, especially the motor driver cable for extending the dvd drive
