PS2 HDD Loader

hey guyz, I know that this is a newbie question but I was wondering how exactly do you use the HDD Loader that PS2 has out, because I wanna download it and put it on a cd and then use it on the ps2. I was wondering will the ps2 read the cd-r disc or am I going to have to use a cd-rw or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to burn a back up of the HD Loader you need a modded PS2 I believe. I don't have one myself but I've been reading on them. You just need a PS2 (obviously ), network adapter, a IDE HDD that fits in the expansion slot of the HDD loader, and then the HD loader itself (and a modchip if your using a burned copy of the HD Loader ). The PS2 should read just a CD-R.
