Newbie - can anyone help?

Hi

Just purchased PS2 and need some help. I live in Spain so games and machine are in Spanish (another hurdle to overcome).

Can anyone tell me how to save mid game onto the memory card.
I am used to playing on my PC where I can save mid level and pick up where I left off. I cant find out how to save on PS2.

I am playing Medal of Honour Frontline at the moment and have got through quite a few levels but have to leave it on pause or I get thrown back to the begining.

Most games have save spots, you cant just do it in random spots usually.

Also Providing that you have PS2 8MB memory card
