ESPN 2k5 Franchise ?

I got ESPN a couple weeks ago and i love it and everything. However i found a problem. I just finished my first franchise season with the Eagles (hometown) and i had owens #1 wr into the probowl with absolutely insane completion numbers and yards (mainly cuz i first didnt know how to do much and he was my go to). when i checked the new progress after the season ended, owens went down overall about 3 points. McNabb who was offensive player of the year went up 1 point but actually had more minuses than pluses (maybe i didnt scramble enough?) brian dawkins also went down 2 or 3 points- he had a pretty good season, certainly not bad. Is it because some of those players are around the age of 30? I think kearse who was defensive player of the year (with 30 some sacks) even just stayed the same overall with a few stats minusing as well.

ANyone else see this happening?
