Connecting an SD card with a phone on a PS3

Can I? Will it work if I insert an SD card on a phone, plug the device with a cable on the PS3, then tap the "Connect USB storage" button? Is it the same as a USB pen?

Never tried it, however is PS3 gives you the option to connect to that phones storage media then it may show the SD card or just the internal memory of the phone.. best just give it a try
