access hard drive withought mod chip

I have a 10GB maxtor drive that works in my ps2. i have a burnt compy of hd loader, but that doesnt load in my ps2. my bro has a mod and i loaded and formatted the hard drive on his system. now my question is, is there some way that i can load the hard drive on my non modded ps2? can i download a file to my memory card to access it? or is there some way i can patch the hd loader disk to boot withought a mod?

I think you still might need the swap magic discs if you don't have a modchip. There is also a memory card exploit where you put HD Loader onto a memory card and use a ps1 game to boot it so you don't need a mod. I think its explained in that link.

The HD Loader/HD Advance are not even expensive. You can put a copy of the HD programs on your Memory Card but you still need the Swap magic discs. I can help you out with the software if you need it for cheaper than anyone else.
