xbox live problems

hi everyone, lately i have been having problems with my xbox live, its worked for about 2 years now and suddenly i have just started having problems... i have my xbox connected (wired) to a belkin g wireless router which is then connected to a speedstream 4200 modem(from bell). every 20-30 minutes my dsl light on my modem flickers for a second then comes back on, but by this time ive lost connection to xbox live. i can reconnect insantly, but its a pain getting disconnected from games. ive tryed hooking up my xbox directly to the modem and it still disconnects me, so im guessing its a problem with the modem. anyone have any idea how to fix this?

p.s: if you need any model #'s etc i will gladly post them if needed
