alright i think im about to jump on the 360 train with the combination of the price drop and addition of hdmi to the pro console, but i had a question that i wonder if someone here could answer.
so my situation is that i want to buy a new 22"-24" monitor for my pc that i'll also use to play xbox 360 on. i know how to hook it up via hdmi > dvi. but i was wondering how would i get audio? i have a home theater system, as well as my computer speakers, i don't really care which one i use since they are both good enough for me. i just need the easiest and cheapest way to get sound.
i did see that M$ does sell an av hdmi cable with RCA outputs for sound but i was wondering if i could just buy a hdmi cable for like $10 off the egg and plug in the composite (standard def) cables that it comes with or the HD component cables in as well and just hook up the RCA to my home theater system or speakers?
