The way I see it, we're not locked into anything. They have an open plugin API and there are hundreds of scripts out there. I think it's dumb that they're doing what they're doing because whatever "premium" features they are going to add, someone will just write a free plugin that does the same thing. They've already done that with Comedy Central.

I'll never upgrade, unless they completely change their compression techniques and it makes the video quality much, much better. Even then, I probably still wouldn't upgrade to anything subscription based.
