I have the front ports out of an old Xbox and want to mod them so that they can be connected to the USB header on my mobo. This way I should be able to plug my controllers into the computer without messing them up with cord splicing. Has anyone seen a tutorial or explaination of how this would be done. I think it should work from looking at the wiring diagram, the two ports have 8 wires just like the USB header cable and harness I have to use. Does anyone see any reason why I can't splice the two, leaving out the yellow wire, and basically have two specialized USB ports on the front of my case for my Xbox controllers.
