Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack Question

I know its a ancient game now but for ***** and giggles me and my friend tried playing last night after about what since MW2 came out but my friend couldn't play on the legendary maps. I seen him download them when they first came out but now they are not working. He tried to download them again last night but it just kept asking about reloading Microsoft points which he has none. I tried to research but never really found a answer just the same questions so I'd figure to try here. No major rush to answer.

Unless he is under the same Account that he was when he purchased the Map Pack he will have to get Microsoft Points and repurchase it or go back to that account and play using that account.

Woops... Sorry I forgot to mention yea he always had 1 account.

*Did ODST come shortly after the legendary map pack?

So he will have to contact XBOX support. They should have a record of all purchases on that account and be able to answer the question.
