its full name is xbox connect. its a free version of xbox live but all i know is that its free, but its tad slower than xbox live.... anyone use it?

A friend of mine used it before he finally broke down and purchased Live!. I liked using XBC 'cause you were able to use your own handles when logged onto a friend's xbc account unlike live where you become darksenate(2). XBC is basically a huge LAN system. It never lagged, we'd own people from different towns and such. Had I broadband, XBC would be for me

I have used it, though only with halo (1) with a friend in the next town. It was very laggy (as to be expected when you cram 10mdbit through 384/384). I have not tried it with Halo 2, although I would expect the lag with that to be no worse than with XBox Live, since halo2 is designed for internet bandwidth and there is no reason ofr them to use a drastically different scheme for LAN than they use for Live.
