WoW framerate trouble

I can't figure this out. I should be able to max out wow at 1680x1050 and get 60 fps no problem with the rig in my sig. Although when I max everything, I'm getting an average of 30fps. Any ideas?

wow is old, its not made to take advantage of new hardware.

Well I mean, don't you agree I should max it out then? I read about others maxing out with specs far worse than mine.

No, because it doesnt like new hardware.

The game is old...it doesnt see all the shaders and extra power.

Sapper with build im running Woltk @ about 60fps all the time.

Just turn off shader and distance , play with those setting since they jack up the FPS. To me they are not necessary its an MMO not an FPS.

I feel like I shouldn't have to turn down anything. I've honestly never heard of a game playing worse on newer hardware than old...

Since I installed WoltK it's been running at about a constant 45fps all maxed, but I still feel like that's low, and I can notice some blips here and there.

Your build is older, so you get better fps.
