Hi, I'm planning on getting WoW today or very soon on my new comp. I heard that even though it has a free one month subscription you still have to pay for a month??

Can someone please verify this?

Yeah, after tax the total monthly fee ends up being $15.93, give or take some change. It's as AWSOME game though. I've been playing it since release.

you pay after the free month. I played it for about 5 months then i had to quit (school) then on my vacation i bought everquest and i hated that so i threw it away then i went back to WoW for about 2 months then i just quit cus i couldnt get my guy past lvl 27 and i had major lag
I crashed 36 times in ironforge

What are the specs on your comp? Or is it because of the server?

I'm planning on playing in FrostWolf with my friend.

Lag is only bad in populated areas like large towns and cities. This is a problem that Blizzard is currently working on, as way more people are playing than they intended. I've played it some on my dad's PC (better than mine) and I know that neither he nor I have experienced a crash. I'm about to finally start my own account this weekend!
