1GB+ is great for gaming on XP, however with Vista, I hear 2GB+ is where it's at for gaming.

It would, you have 3 slots right ?, You could probably have to just buy 2x 1GB Sticks.

While im on the topic, does anyone know wether A) a 2GB Stick is better that 2x 1GB and B) Is running 2x1GB in dual channel better than single channel ?.

pc gamers are oddballs anyways... I am a pc gamer, just not one of you crazy types.

Upgrades should be logical, ie., buy/build a computer...after 5-10 years build a new one for all the new things. Not thinking you HAVE to buy new parts for some single game.

hehe....consoles rule because of that.

Dual channel is better, but unlike what some people will say, it has a very minuscule advantage.

They don't even make common 2GB sticks, you might find the odd one that costs like $500, but even then I believe for the most part they are limited to mac computers
