I was just wondering how many people play games at the standard of 1024x768 and how many people use higher resolutions. I think with the rise of LCDs and more powerful graphics cards, 1280x1024 could soon become the standard.
1280x1024 is my max, so thats my standard... I do need to upgrade my 9800 soon, thoough. I will not be able to keep that res with all the new games. ( So far I have with COD2 and NFSMW though. )
I think that Ill be fine at 1280x1024 until Unreal Engine 3 games hit, then I will either have to SLI or upgrade my entire system...or run at 1024x768...ick.
Main reason I haven't switched to an LCD for gaming yet...1024x768 is fine by me and I don't want to have to deal with native resolution and anything else looking like crap...I have a 17" LCD just sitting around right now because my CRT is simply better for gaming
