Video problem with battlefield 1942

has anyone run across this problem before: my graphics ingame are now all screwed up. here are some screen shot samples:

As you can see, there are all those triangles drawn around my avatar that are screwy, as well as inverted polygons throughout the scene. I have reinstalled the 3.9 catalyst drivers after full unistall, and I also repatched bf1942 to version 1.5


Also, I checked other 3 games and they looked ok, so it seems to just be with bf1942

Any help?

If you are running Win. XP, you may want to totally uninstall your ati driver and reinstall them fresh as metioned here http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/...&prod=productsXPdriver&submit.x=13&submit.y=5

This is a known issue with ATI drivers and BF 1942, and they say it is corrected with the new drivers.
