Did you just get a new router installed recently? 192.168.*.* are typical router assignments. Doubt that's the correct IP. You'd still be able to connect to it of course, but we wouldn't.

no, that's the ip. I was there last night with about 14 others. So, yeah.

then the server cleared out... i shut it down after that. So yes it works.

I tried adding that IP to my favorites, but I couldn't connect. I joined by looking on the list of servers.

what engine is fear built on i have been hunting for new fun fps i have been playing nothing but hl2 dm and cs

I believe FEAR uses an engine that was developed inhouse by Monolith Productions. The original release of FEAR, the engine wasn't optimized at all and it pretty much sucked. But since the 1.7 Patch and the release of FEAR COMBAT, they have done a great job with the engine. It's pretty solid now.

where is the server located? i'm in the middle of rural ohio on dsl... i usually only have like 4 servers that i can get undrer 100 ping...
