So I finally got around to playing crysis..

The problem with FarCry 2 is they tried to pitch a fairly linear standard shooter as a sandbox title. It's just not a sandbox game. Of course there are a plethora of other problems with this game as well with the enemy AI being very high on the list.

Yeh but, AI in every single open world game in existence are crap.

Accept it, computers arn't powerful enough to dedicate enough resources to create realistic AI in openworld non scripted environments. Yet.

Octo Core could change that, ideally 4cores would be purely for AI and 4core for everything else. That'd work nicely, you could make pretty realistic AI with that amount of power.

Also, i can imagine it's an absolute 'effort' to program realistic AI even without being limited by cpu power.
