sims 2 problem

hey, when i play the sims 2 there are several times in which my computer resets or freezes, i really don't know why, do you think it could be caused by the stuff i downloaded?

What are you downloading?

Did it work before you downloaded something?

Sims is a very taxing game on a cpu make sure you aren't running anything in the backround.

it could be that, i got almost all the time bitcomet running in the background, let me try it without anything running

Are you sure this is a software problem, or a hardware one? Try playing another game for a whle and see if you experience these problems.

i've unnistalled the game completely, and re-installed it. but the problem remains, it could be a software problem, but i think it is most likely a hardware problem

i've tried playing nintendo 64 games, with project 64 and the same thing happens, it freezes/resets. what's the problem?
